Synthetic Leather Upper
A synthetic leather upper has been used on the Gel-Mission and works to add sufficient durability and protection for your feet during high-intensity outings on the trail. Effective moisture management is also provided by the upper, with moisture-wicking properties removing the build-up of excess sweat and moisture to leave your feet feeling cool, dry and comfortable. Cool air is also encouraged to circulate, creating a drier, healthier environment for your feet to thrive in. Further comfort is provided by the padded tongue which sits nicely against the skin and guards against irritation and chafing. The traditional lacing system helps to keep the feet secure, for a locked-in feel. Rounding off the upper are synthetic overlays which help to protect from rocks and uneven surfaces.
EVA Midsole
The midsole of the ASICS Gel-Mission utilises an EVA compound for exceptional cushioning and comfort, to improve responsiveness and performance. A rearfoot GEL cushioning system attenuates shock during the impact phase, allowing for a smoother transition to midstance and improving gait efficiency. This minimises the risk of potential injuries by reducing the wear and tear placed upon the joints. A removable EVA sockliner moulds to the shape of your feet to further enhance comfort and can be removed.
Durable Rubber Outsole
Completing the Gel-Mission is a rubber outsole which provides durability and stability, even on difficult and unpredictable terrain. The rubber compound is placed in critical areas of the outsole for heightened durability as well as a firm, assured footing. It has been constructed to be lightweight as well as durable so you can go further faster without added weight holding you back, giving you a comfortable ride.
