ASICS Gel-Game 9 Women's Clay Court Shoes

Both durable and comfortable, the Gel-Game 9 clay court shoe is versatile for the recreational athlete who's playing several times per week. Preserving its excellent support properties, ASICS' focus this season was to improve the shoe's ventilation and flexibility.

Mesh and PU Upper

The upper of the Gel-Game 9 are constructed with mesh and PU that encases each foot in breathable comfort. The mesh wraps and forms to the foot provide exceptional comfort, whilst allowing air to fully permeate the construction, providing a constant supply of fresh, cool air. The mesh also promotes moisture management as it works to wick sweat and transfer it to the outer layers where it can be easily evaporated, ensuring you stay cool, dry and comfortable. In addition, the upper is complemented with synthetic leather overlays and a PU film that offers improved stability when making abrupt transitions, not only this but also improves durability and provides extra protection from foot drag. This high-wear compound is strategically placed in the areas that will receive the most beating from courts, therefore, allowing you to use these time and time again. A traditional lacing system helps to lock the midfoot to prevent excessive movement and lastly, a wider heel cage provides increased stability and support throughout tricky movements.

EVA Midsole

The midsole offers ASICS' unique GEL Cushioning System which is placed in the forefoot to supply bounce back and shock absorption; sparing your joints as you volley and lob, as you land on unforgiving surfaces, allowing for smooth transitions and movement in multiple planes. Furthermore, the midsole offers the TRUSSTIC system that works incredibly hard to provide structural integrity and prevent torsion from occurring. The TRUSSTIC system is a big part of these tennis shoes as you go through tricky motions, the system keeps the feet stabilised and supported, allowing you to perform much better without the risk of injury. Situated around these systems is an EVA midsole compound that is not only super-cushioned and responsive but keeps its shape over time and usage, allowing the compound to be just as effective in the games as well as future games.

Clay and Omnicourt Outsole

The Gel-Game 9 offers an improved clay and omnicourt outsole that supplies enhanced grip and traction. Having durability and traction enables you to make short, sharp movements without placing strain on your body. The shoes also feature an outrigger outsole construction which is where the outsole protrudes from the forefoot, giving the shoe a wider platform to help brace your weight and protect your joints as well as offering a more supportive and stable base.
