ASICS Contend 8 PS Junior Running Shoes

The Contend 8 PS (Pre-School) is a shoe designed for young feet. Each shoe in the collection features a hook and loop fastening system that helps keep feet stabilised. Details like the toe cap, toe rubber stitching and solid rubber outsole increase durability and lengthen the shoe's lifespan. Additionally, ASICS' CUB MATCH sockliner is printed with a tiger caricature that helps kids identify the right and left shoe.

Engineered Mesh Upper

Constructed using an engineered mesh upper, the ASICS Contend 8 encase each foot in breathable comfort. The mesh allows air to fully permeate the upper, providing a constant supply of fresh, cool air while simultaneously forcing out hot, muggy air. This aids moisture management by wicking sweat and excess moisture as it's produced and then transferring it to the outer layers where it can be easily evaporated, keeping your little ones' feet cool, dry and comfortable at all times. The mesh upper creates a perfect microclimate for their feet to thrive in. As well as this, overlays work with the lacing system and hook-and-loop strap to lock down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage so they can go further for longer in complete comfort. Completing the upper is a soft heel collar that sits comfortably against the skin to reduce the risks of chafing and irritation.

Amplifoam Midsole

The midsole of the ASICS Contend 8 features the comfortable, flexible and durable Amplifoam technology. The midsole material is engineered to maintain durability at softer densities, providing better flexibility, comfort and platform adaptability, ideal for natural running. Lightweight and resilient, AmpliFoam spares your kids' joints as they strike down onto hard, unforgiving surfaces. Completing the midsole is a sockliner that provides added underfoot cushioning as well as enhanced breathability. The sockliner allows cool air to flow throughout the midsole to ensure their feet remain fresher for longer. A tiger graphic features on the sockliner to help kids to recognise the left shoe from the right shoe.

Durable Rubber Outsole

Developed using a durable rubber outsole, the ASICS Contend 8 ensures improved grip in varied conditions. The rubber outsole can form a solid bond with the ground beneath it to ensure traction and grip on road surfaces. Having durability and traction enables your child to run with complete confidence that their shoes will keep them grounded at all times. As well as this, the rubber outsole is highly durable to ensure long-lasting wear.
