ASICS Novablast 5 Women's Running Shoes
The Novablast line gets a major update with a fast and fun model suitable for every type of runner. The fifth generation of these iconic shoes delivers a super soft, comfortable ride thanks to ASICS' most energetic midsole foam, FF Blast Max cushioning.
Engineered Jacquard Mesh Upper
The upper has been constructed using a new technical mesh to deliver ultimate comfort and breathability. The mesh allows built-up heat and vapour to escape whilst fresh air is simultaneously encouraged to flow in for a pleasant cooling sensation. The lightweight materials are super flexible to ensure unrestricted movement and a comfortable, secure fit. The tongue wing construction helps to improve the fit and reduce tongue movement, while the built-in stretch further assists in the fit for optimum comfort and an irritation-free experience. Working alongside this, the uppers have a seamless construction, to prevent irritation or chafing from occurring. Reflective details ensure visibility in low-light running conditions and a traditional lacing system helps to lock down and anchor the shoe for confident strides.
FF Blast Max Midsole
For cloud-like, bouncy wearing and super comfortable strides from start to finish of your run, the Novablast 5s utilise ASICS' most responsive FF Blast Max foam cushioning. Updated from their predecessors, the FF Blast Max increases bounce properties by approximately 8.5%, meaning even more comfort, softness and outstanding responsiveness. The foam provides excellent cushioning and energy return to help spare your joints and provide you with the quick flying feeling you need from your running shoes. The energy spared will allow you to go further and faster, using less effort, alongside a generous stack height to provide you with the full effect. Underfoot, a sockliner adds further plushness and has been produced with a solution dyeing process that uses 33% less water, reducing carbon emissions by approximately 45% compared to the conventional dyeing technology.
AHAR LO Outsole
The outsole of the Novablast 5 is crafted from AHAR LO rubber. ASICS' low-density, high-abrasion rubber is a tough rubber compound used in heavy-contact or high-wear areas helping to cut down on excessive wear. The high abrasion outsole provides a strong grip and works to protect itself from damage and protect users from losing control and slipping. Creating a strong bond with the ground beneath it the outsole keeps you in full control. The trampoline-inspired outsole offers a more responsive bounce-back by covering key areas of the rubber while leaving sections of the foam exposed. This design reduces weight and maximises propulsion.
