Constructed using a mesh upper, the Alpine XT 2 Trail Running Shoes encase each foot in breathable comfort. The mesh allows air to fully permeate the entire upper, providing a constant supply of fresh, cool air while simultaneously forcing out hot, muggy air. The mesh aids moisture management, by wicking sweat and excess moisture as it's produced then transfers it to the outer layers where it can be easily evaporated, keeping your feet cool, dry and comfortable at all times. An internal heel counter exists to provide added stability in the heel, it locks it in places to reduce is shoe-slippage and reduce the risks of ankle related injuries. Completing the upper is a lacing system which locks down the midfoot so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.
spEVA Midsole>
The midsole of the Alpine XT 2 Trail Running Shoes have been designed using spEVA which improves the shoe's durability as you pound along. SpEVA resides beneath to supply lightweight underfoot cushioning. Developed from a blend of EVA and rubber ball material, the compound improves rebound by 20%. The midsole unit minimizes the energy lost during the gait cycle and channels it into your movements with its springy properties, thereby helping you to minimize energy loss and perform at a higher level for longer. The SpEVA midsole also provides durability to help extend your shoes' lifespan. An ortholite sockliner has also been used within the midsole to improve next to skin comfort. The ortholite sockliner helps the shoe respond to your tread, bouncing you back up again. It also effectively manages moisture to keep your foot dry, so you can focus on your pace without worrying about your comfort.
Moulded Rubber Sole
Developed using a moulded rubber outsole, the ASICS Alpine XT 2 Trail Running Shoes improve traction and grip on varied surfaces. The rubber is able to form a solid bond with the ground beneath it to keep you grounded on even the toughest trails.
