Hoka Skyline-Float X Walking Shoes

Airmesh Upper

The uppers of the Skyline-Float X have been created using a breathable Airmesh upper. Using a One-piece engineered knit upper this shoe is lightweight and breathable, allowing cool air to flow through the shoe whilst removing built-up heat and regulating internal temperature to create a healthy environment where feet can thrive. The fabrication hugs the foot offering lightweight support whilst strategically placed overlays add structure to the shoe, helping lock down the foot and keeping you secure and locked in for a stable and supportive fit. Ensuring much-needed support, the overlays also increase durability by protecting both the shoe and the foot from possible damage that may be encountered on your adventures. Alongside this, the shoes have an exceptionally protective toe rand for shielding against hard knocks and bumps and a gusseted tongue has been added to the upper to provide next-to-skin comfort. This prevents dirt or debris from entering the shoes, whilst also providing ventilation to your feet, for ultimate confidence with every stride. An extended heel tab assists you in putting the shoes on more easily whilst a traditional lace-up system, provides a locked-in fit reducing in-shoe movement so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.

EVA Midsole

To ensure confident, comfortable strides across uneven surfaces, the shoes have a dual-density 30% sugarcane EVA midsole. This compound is extremely durable, with a soft, comfortable nature and enhanced durability, providing long-lasting cushioning you can rely on mile after mile. The midsole will absorb shocks when striking down on tough trail paths, helping to prevent injury or discomfort from occurring when tackling your next hurdle. The EVA will also provide energy return to keep strides bouncy and soft, adding more spring to your step. Propelling you forward the shoes also include an 89% Castor oil-based Pebax plate, which cradles the foot and delivers superior cushioning and explosive energy return, keeping you moving whilst slowing down fatigue. A moulded 50% soy-based PU sockliner adds underfoot comfort and soft step-in cushioning.

Vibram XS Trek Outsole

Providing feet with durable performance and outstanding traction across various terrains, especially on rocks and trails, the Skyline-Float X utilises a Vibram XS Trek outsole compound. Made from recycled materials, the outsole provides you grip and traction wherever your hike takes you, whilst having a highly durable compound for reliability and enhancing the shoes' longevity. The outsole forms a powerful bond with the ground, firmly anchoring you and providing a stable and controlled position. The Vibram XS Trek is a non-marking compound that allows the shoes to be used for indoor and nautical sports. Adorning the outsole are flex grooves which encourage multi-directional movements. Finally, a SwallowTail heel extends coverage and support when traversing tricky conditions.
