Abrasive Resistant Textile Upper
The 450 Dirt Waterproof utilises an ultra-abrasion-resistant performance textile upper to provide optimum protection and comfort when traversing tricky hiking conditions. The textile uppers contain feet with support, keeping them secure within the shoes, whilst providing optimum protection from knocks, bumps and bashes when hiking across changing terrains. A breathable mesh lining also means that feet remain cool during high-heat periods of your adventures, and utilising moisture-wicking properties, they prevent the build-up of sweat and moisture. The 450 Dirt has a KEEN.DRY waterproof membrane that seals out moisture from the inside, and prevents rain from seeping through on the outside, ensuring feet remain dry and cosy when exploring the great outdoors. Additionally, the Eco Anti-odour technology prevents a build-up of unwanted odours, keeping feet smelling and feeling fresher for longer. Featuring a Contoured Fit, the uppers follow the contours of your foot, providing a comfortable, snug fit. Finally, the shoes have a lace-up closure for a snug, locked-in fit, whilst a reinforced cutout in the upper allows you to attach a gaiter.
EVA Midsole
A high-rebound EVA foam cushioning features underfoot to enhance your comfort when out on long adventures. Keeping strides soft and cushioned, the midsole softens the impact when striking down on hard and often changing surfaces, to help you remain comfortable and helping to reduce injuries. A removable, resilient foam insole also features alongside the EVA compound adding long-lasting cushioning and keeping feet comfortable. A full-length lightweight plate is added to the midsole for stability and propelling you forward when hiking. KEEN.CURVE also provides a constant curvature when stepping, adding further propulsion and providing smooth heel-to-toe transitions.
KEEN.ALL-TERRAIN Rubber Outsole
Providing high levels of traction and support on constantly changing terrains, the 450 Dirt Waterproof has a KEEN.ALL-TERRAIN outsole. This durable outsole protects your feet, whilst also ensuring you get the optimised level of grip for complete control and stability across a range of trail conditions. This high-traction rubber promotes grip on a multitude of surfaces while delivering the durability you need to go the distance, and 4mm multi-directional lugs enhance the grip to prevent slipping.
