Nubuck Leather Upper

Developed to provide durability and breathability, the Targhee IV has been constructed using a Nubuck leather upper. The leather materials protect feet from debris and sharp objects, minimising the risk of wear and tear whilst the breathable mesh lining allows the feet to breathe by increasing ventilation. The leather is sourced from Leather Working Group certified tanneries that use less water and create less waste during leather processing. A leather mud shield repels debris for added durability. The mesh allows cool air to flow through the boots' upper while allowing built-up heat to escape so you can remain cool, dry and comfortable. KEEN.DRY technology is incorporated into the upper to provide resistance against sweat and moisture, to ensure feet remain comfortable and cosy, even during the more intense hiking adventures. The breathable membrane wicks away the sweat and moisture so you can focus on your performance without discomfort or distraction. The waterproof nature of KEEN.DRY keeps you protected when the weather takes a turn for the worst. Designed with Keen's Original Fit, the boots deliver a comfortable feel and allow your toes to spread out. The boots feature a padded tongue and collar enhancing comfort for all-day wear. The boots utilise a traditional lacing system with 100% recycled laces, which locks down the midfoot to reduce in-boot slippage. This has been coupled with a heel-capture system for added stability, so you can enjoy distraction-free strides while the KEEN.PROTECT toe bumper protects your toes from rocks and uneven surfaces. Completing the upper is an Eco-Anti odour finish to prevent the build-up and odour-causing microbes to keep the boots feeling and smelling fresher for longer.

Keen Luftcell Midsole

Constructed using Keen's Luftcell midsole Technology, the Targhee IV provides all-day cushioning and comfort. The midsole compound provides significant cushioning and comfort to help improve your performance so you can stay at your optimum level, for longer. Holding excellent cushioning abilities, the midsole absorbs shocks as you move throughout the gait cycle providing resilient comfort and reducing potential injury. The upper and the midsole have been connected through KEEN.FUSION, this fuses the upper to the sole without glue for a longer-lasting bond that's better for the planet, letting you get the most out of the boots. A removable Luftcell insole also features within the midsole to provide increased comfort and support as soon as you step into the boots. The insole sits comfortably under the foot and can be easily removed if you'd prefer not to use it. Completing the midsole is an internal stability shank, delivering lightweight support and reducing the chance of ankle rolling or injury by providing more stability to the foot on uneven terrain.

Keen.Rugged Outsole

Providing ultimate grip on multiple surfaces the Targhee IV features a Keen.Rugged outsole. The durable rubber provides a strong grip on the most challenging terrain; it works to protect itself from damage and protect users from losing control and slipping. It is also highly durable meaning no matter what you throw at it, the Targhee will perform walk after walk. This high-traction non-marking rubber promotes grip on multiple surfaces while delivering the durability you need to go the distance. Completing the outsole are multi-directional lugs which provide superior traction on tough terrain. The lugs dig into the ground, anchoring you in place, this helps when braking and changing direction. This will also benefit you by acting as a solid base to push off from when taking a stride.

Recycled P.E.T Plastic has been used within this boots construction to reduce waste.
