Ripstop Nylon and Mesh Upper
The upper of the Maddox Pro GORE-TEX Mid is crafted from an ultra-sturdy ripstop nylon and mesh construction, which is highly breathable and resistant to wear and tear. The fabrication is lightweight so it won't weigh you down on those speedy ascents and descents. The upper is also flexible, helping you to navigate technical terrain with greater proprioception. A GORE-TEX membrane provides highly breathable waterproofing; its porous nature prevents water molecules from entering, whilst smaller vapour molecules are able to escape, preventing sweat build-up. This helps you stay dry from the inside out in all weather conditions, so you can focus on the adventure ahead. A microfibre toe cap and overlays provide further robustness and help to create a secure, reinforced fit. The ankle height cut of the boot bolsters the ankle to reduce the risk of rolling it, and a traditional lacing system with hooks at the top allows you to lock in the fit. Heel and tongue tabs make for easier on/off.
Lowa Double-Injection DynaPU Midsole
The midsole is made from DynaPU foam that retains its resisting force even when under pressure and when pressed together thousands of times. This means that the boots will retain their cushioning power even after hundreds of miles. DynaPU is extremely lightweight and provides incredible durability, support and rebound. It spares your joints as you strike down on unforgiving surfaces and utilises the power of your last step to power you into your next one, meaning you can go further, faster with less effort. The midsole has been double-injected, with a softer PU layer beneath the denser, more supportive layer. This PU provides flex and cushioning, helping you to get the best of both worlds. The midsole is finished with Lowa's MONOWRAP PU support frame, which helps to brace the arch and stabilise the heel, and a glass-fibre reinforced stabiliser which provides advanced stability. An ATC insole delivers plushness underfoot.
Lowa FAST HIKING Rubber Outsole
A Lowa FAST HIKING rubber outsole finishes the boot. It provides phenomenal grip and traction underfoot on technical terrain, helping you traverse with confidence. The rubber forms a solid connection with the ground beneath, allowing you to take on tougher routes, whilst the aggressive lugs in a multi-directional pattern bite into the earth, making wet, muddy terrain a doddle. The lugs also release mud with ease, helping you to shed it as you walk and preventing the boots from getting clogged up and you from losing grip. The proprietary tread design is specifically suited to the boot's intended use.
