Waterproof Leather Upper

Keeping you dry and comfortable in any conditions, the upper of the Icepeak Guide is made from waterproof suede and leather. This will mean that as soon as you are exposed to any moisture, the surface of the material will block it from penetrating through. It will also wick any surface moisture away extremely efficiently and effectively, keeping the boots lightweight. As well as this, the boot has M-Select DRY, a waterproof membrane developed by Merrell to keep your feet dry and ventilated. The whole of the upper is surrounded by an impermeable membrane which seals out moisture, stopping any of it from entering and coming into contact with your feet. From the inside, the membrane will still allow moisture to exit, which will mean that as you become more active and begin to sweat, the membrane will allow moisture to exit to keep you feeling ventilated and fresh. For increased warmth when the temperatures start to plummet, the boots have a 200-gram M-Select Warm insulating layer. This will keep your feet warm in freezing temperatures whilst it also will not have a lot of bulk, keeping it comfortable and light. Finishing off the insulation, the boots have a Conductor fleece lining which again increases warmth. Thick and sturdy material surrounds the toes and heel, which will provide you with protection from any knocks and stability to keep you in a firm and upright position. A traditional hook and loop lacing system will make it easy to find a secure and comfortable fit for lasting comfort on the trails. A soft padded and bellows tongue will sit gently on the ankle, whilst it will also have the benefit of blocking out all dirt and debris. A soft and padded ankle collar will ensure that you will have a comfortable fit that won't cause any irritation by rubbing and chafing. A removable Kinetic Fit insole will provide you with a contoured soft and comfortable feel directly underfoot, which will also give flexible support, as well as helping to retain heat as it is fleece lined.

The compression moulded platform in the midsole features anatomically-inspired dual-directional flex grooves that support the natural motion of the foot. The EVA unit works endlessly to reduce and disperse impact forces away from the foot providing a plush and comfortable feeling with every step.
