The Merrell Capra 2 GORE-TEX featuring additional heel cushioning and a tapered forefoot, is designed to provide a sense of comfort and responsiveness to help you tackle rugged trails and adrenaline-fuelled climbs.

Waterproof Suede Leather Upper

Shielding feet from the constantly changing weather conditions, and keeping them fresh and comfortable even during the more intense adventures, the Capra 2 utilises a suede leather through the upper. This construction is waterproof to prevent water and rain from getting feet wet, and the moulded leather combined with synthetic and textile materials is highly durable to protect feet from knocks and bumps on the trail. A GORE-TEX membrane delivers highly durable, breathable waterproofing to seal out moisture and allow built-up heat and vapour to escape. A 100% recycled mesh lining further increases the breathability level, keeping feet comfortable. The recycled mesh collar reduces the risk of irritation or abrasion from occurring during excessive movement, while the protective and abrasion-resistant toe cap helps to protect the toes from loose debris and uneven surfaces. Finally, the shoes utilise a traditional lacing system for a locked-in secure fit, which helps to reduce in-shoe slipping for comfortable, confident strides.

Super Rebound Compound Midsole

To provide feet with a high level of comfort, the Capra 2 utilises a super rebound compound midsole. The midsole contains shock absorption properties and is highly responsive to help lessen the burden placed on your knees and joints whilst walking for long periods of time. The shoes have a removable 50% recycled EVA foam footbed, with a 50% recycled mesh cover, that works alongside a lightweight EVA foam midsole to provide stability and comfort. The Capra 2 also features a Cleansport NXT treatment, which prevents the growth of odour-causing microbes, keeping the shoes feeling and smelling fresher for longer.

Vibram TC5+ Outsole

Ensuring underfoot grip and traction when hiking across multiple terrains and conditions, the Capra 2 has a Vibram TC5+ outsole. This provides exceptional traction and grip during outdoor multi-sport activities, so you can feel confident in your hiking footwear. The rubber outsole is highly durable, meaning it stands up against tough conditions, and keeps you stable on all types of surfaces. Adorning the outsole are 4mm lugs, which have been designed to increase traction as well as shed debris during each step, keeping your shoes cleaner and you focused during those muddy, wet explorations. Completing the outsole is a rock protection plate which helps to shield you from sharp rocks and uneven surfaces.
