Mizuno Wave Rider GORE-TEX 2 Trail Running Shoes

Don't let a little bad weather stop you from running. The Wave Rider GORE-TEX 2 offers all of the great features of the Wave Rider plus a GORE-TEX membrane and a Wgrip outsole for waterproof comfort and excellent grip on rainy days.

Breathable Mesh Upper

Engineered using a breathable mesh upper, the Wave Rider GORE-TEX 2 provides excellent levels of breathability and comfort. The fabric allows air to flow through and circulate, whilst allowing hot air to escape, providing your feet with the perfect microclimate. The shoe also features a GORE-TEX Invisible Fit membrane designed to provide optimal waterproof protection. This membrane works to keep feet dry and ensures breathability by preventing external moisture from entering and allowing excess heat and vapour to leave the shoe. This keeps your feet cool, dry, and comfortable. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system which locks in the midfoot for a secure fit and feel.

Mizuno ENERZY and ENERZY NXT Midsole

Offering an excellent level of cushioning and high rebound, the Wave Rider GORE-TEX 2 utilises a durable Mizuno ENERZY foam midsole which helps to ensure a soft yet responsive landing and a strong take-off. Working alongside this is a top layer of Mizuno ENERZY NXT foam that provides an extremely comfortable and bouncy feeling. Mizuno ENERZY NXT is ultra soft and responsive and assists in the next level of performance. This combination is lighter than previous ENERZY midsoles, featuring a greater level of cushioning and enabling more output so you can keep pushing for much longer. The shoes also feature Mizuno's Wave technology for enhanced stability and a spring effect. It works to absorb the shock of heel striking and, once absorbed, the energy is harnessed and transferred to the forefoot to push you off and guide you onto the next movement. The Wave technology also provides dynamic support to stabilise and guide the foot forward. A premium in-sock has been included to deliver underfoot plushness./p>

Wgrip Rubber Outsole

Constructed using a Wgrip outsole, the Wave Rider GORE-TEX 2 offers excellent grip and traction whilst remaining durable. Wgrip provides you with a firm, assured footing with enhanced levels of grip and traction compared to regular rubber so you can run with confidence and push yourself to the limit, time and time again. The 5mm lugs and unique outsole pattern help you to move across the trail with ease, so you can tackle the great outdoors.

More than 90% of the upper body lining textile, shoelace and sockliner lining is made from recycled content. Part of the midsole is made with a sugarcane-based material. The wave plate is made with Pebax Rnew, a partially bio-based renewable elastomer.
