Updated from their predecessors, the Wave Exceed Tour 6 AC utilises a 3D-Solid design, however this time with an improved level of durability, so you can rely on your court shoes even more than ever. The uppers provide a comfortable and breathable layer to ensure that feet remain cool and dry on the court, and utilising strategic perforations through these lightweight materials, air will flow freely, keeping your feet fresh and cool. The moisture-wicking properties prevent sweat from building up, ensuring dry and comfortable feet during intense sessions. The ultra-soft fabrics sit comfortably against your feet for a chafe and irritation-free experience, whilst being extremely durable due to added coverage of the inner instep, reducing excessive wear and tear. DuraShield works to add durability in areas that are usually high-wearing such as the toes, for protection against knocks and bumps on the court. Additionally, the uppers utilise the newly functional Dyna-Eyelet Wrap, an eyelet structure that has large cut-outs, to provide you with a snug fit that feels as though it wraps the entire foot and has been designed to ensure the shoe fits the foot's natural motion both during resting and when you're on the move. Working with this is a newly designed tongue, meaning it is softer against the foot, and conforms to its shape, allowing for stress-free wear. The midsole reduces the risks of discomfort or possible injuries, by absorbing shocks when striking down onto hard court surfaces, keeping feet replenished. Working with this, a Mizuno Enerzy insole feature to cushion your landing and support the quick turn and starting movements, necessary for a speed court model. An updated Wave plate offers rigidity that instantly works to convert your power into speed, further allowing smooth twisting kick-off motions. Finally, a PoWnCe midsole material adds extra comfort and has high resilience and durability, whilst Mizuno's U4icX delivers stress-free cushioning for high-rebound.
X10 Durable Outsole
The Wave Exceed Tour 6 features an X10 outsole compound, which has been developed to be extremely durable, lightweight and super grippy, to provide you stability and traction on a range of court surfaces. X10 is made from carbon rubber for longer wearing in high-impact areas and provides more traction at the heel strike for an all-court grip. Additionally, the shoes feature D-Flex Grooves, which are grooves that sit diagonally through the midfoot, allowing you to turn at your maximum speed, and power by efficiently transferring natural body movement and shift in direction.
