Breathable Mesh Upper
Constructed using a breathable mesh upper, the Lightning Star Z7 offers exceptional breathability. The mesh allows built-up heat escape whilst encouraging cool air to circulate keeping feet cool, dry and comfortable. Additionally, synthetic overlays are layered to provide support and structure during lateral movements, keeping your child's feet safe and secure whilst performing at a high level. A soft padded tongue further enhances the comfort and provides a close fit and lastly, a traditional lacing system reduces excessive movement for a secure, locked-in feel.
EVA Midsole
The lightweight, sculpted EVA midsole provides superb comfort and cushioning properties. The midsole absorbs shock and impact forces caused by the heel strike phase of the gait cycle and harnesses the energy created. Once the energy is harnessed the midsole transfers that same energy to the forefoot area of the midsole where it is used to push them off onto their next step, enhancing rebound properties. The shoes also include a removable insole for increased comfort and cushioning underfoot. Furthering underfoot cushioning Mizuno has included a U4iCX strobel board that delivers stress-free cushioned wear with high rebounds for a springy, weightless feel.
Non-Marking Rubber Outsole
A non-marking rubber outsole provides traction whilst on the court and increases stability thanks to the fully flat sole. It enables your little one to power off onto their next step and allows them to perform powerful movements. Specifically engineered smooth flex grooves have been built to allow the player to turn at maximum speed and power by efficiently transferring natural body movement. These grooves ensure better flexibility whilst a reduced amount of rubber gives a lighter feel. Completing the shoes is a wide outrigger sole that ensures improved stability, reducing the risk of injury and increasing control, so your little one can be on top of their game.
