Mesh Upper
Constructed using a mesh upper, the New Balance DRFT Training Shoes offer maximum breathability for ultimate comfort. Perforations in the fabric encourage cool air to circulate, removing uncomfortable heat build-up and allowing moisture vapour to escape for a damp-free comfort and a healthy environment for feet to thrive in. Synthetic Overlays have also been used within the upper to provide structure and support. The overlays ensure complete comfort during any workout. As well as this, a no-sew material application means reduced weight plus a minimal risk of rubbing and blisters; because everyone knows how those can ruin your day. Completing the upper is a lacing system which locks down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.
ACTEVA Midsole
Acteva resides in the midsole to supply plush underfoot cushioning and comfort. Lightweight and resilient, Acteva attenuates shock to spare your joints as you strike down onto hard, unforgiving terrain. The moulded compound is 24% lighter than New Balance's standard compression moulded foam but boasts exceptional durability. The midsole delivers exceptional cushioning underfoot thanks to a soft foam material to severely reduce the impact placed on your knees and joints as you train.
Ground Contact EVA Outsole
The outsole is specially designed to provide lightweight cushioning and ample abrasion resistance. The EVA outsole feels soft underfoot to ensure complete comfort whilst also ensuring support and traction. Rubber pods also feature in high wear areas to ensure durable traction as you move around the gym. The rubber is placed on high wear areas such as the forefoot and heel to increase durability. The rubber has been removed in the midfoot to reduce weight, further enhancing the lighter-than-air feel of this shoe. The durable rubber provides a strong grip and works to protect itself from damage, and protect users from losing control and slipping.
