Engineered Woven Mesh Upper
Taking inspiration from their race-day shoe range, the On Cloudsurfer Next utilises a lightweight woven mesh upper for exceptional breathability and optimal comfort. The perforations within the fabric encourage cool air to flow, whilst at the same time, removing unwanted warm air, helping to regulate temperature to allow your feet to remain cool even during the more intense sessions of your training. Additionally, the shoes have moisture-wicking properties to remove sweat and external moisture to the outer fabric, where it can be evaporated for a rapid dry time, ensuring you remain dry. A soft, padded tongue sits nicely against the foot to further enhance comfort. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system that provides feet with a locked-in and secure fit, reducing in-shoe slippage and keeping you confident stride after stride.
Advanced Midsole and Outsole
Engineered using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and invaluable input, the Cloudsurfer Next feature a computer-generated midsole compound called CloudTec Phase. This cushioning technology still uses On's unique cloud construction in a Helion superfoam, however, updated with a softer, more cushioned design. The cloud construction seamlessly collapses like dominoes when your foot lands, providing you with supreme, enhanced cushioning and a softer, smoother transfer through the gait cycle. The propulsive nature of the shoes allows your foot to stride naturally. What happens between landing and takeoff is crucial to your comfort. That's why CloudTec Phase emphasises both soft landings and a seamless weight transfer from heel to toe. Helion superfoam combines rigid, stable sections with more flexible foam elements along the same molecular chains. This combination removes the need for two separate materials, allowing you to power through your runs. An agile forefoot rocker also resides in the midsole to further enhance propulsion to provide an extra spring in your step for an effortless feeling. Providing you with durable traction in wet and dry conditions, the shoes have thin and lightweight rubber pads.
