Anti-Debris Mesh Upper
Constructed using a super breathable mesh, the Salomon Techamphibian encases each foot in breathable comfort. Perforations in the fabric increase airflow to create a better, healthier environment for your feet to thrive in. The mesh is also quick drying for a rapid dry time and prevents prevents debris from being trapped between your foot and the footbed. An adjustable heel strap ensures a secure, comfortable hold while the heel is fully collapsible so you can wear them like a normal shoe, or slide it on and off. The Quicklace system provides you with a locked-in, secure fit and comes with a lace pocket to offer easy storage. Completing the upper is a protective toe cap which protects your toes from rocks and uneven surfaces.
EnergyCell Midsole
Within the midsole, the Techamphibian 5 utilises EnergyCell, offering exceptional comfort and protection. Towards the bottom, the midsole is extremely firm, which helps absorb shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing damage to the sole of the foot. Energy produced from this will also be returned as rebound, which will provide an extra spring in your step. The higher you get in the midsole, the EVA becomes less densely packed, which will make every step feel comfortable.
Additionally, an S.Cafe recycled sockliner cover wicks away sweat and external moisture and also prevents the growth of odour-causing bacteria, keeping the shoes feeling and smelling fresher for longer.
Water Contagrip Outsole
Providing you with great levels of grip and traction on the changing terrain below, the shoes have a Water Contagrip outsole. The outsole grabs hold of the ground, even when traversing across wet and slippery surfaces, increasing control and adhesion on your next adventures. When you are moving on the wet and uneven ground, the shoe's lug pattern dig into the ground, which will anchor you in place. This will also benefit you by acting as a solid base for you to push off from when taking a stride, as well as digging into the ground when braking and changing direction.
