Scarpa Phantom 8000 HD Walking Boots
The Phantom 8000 represents the very pinnacle of Scarpa design to create the warmest technical boot for use on the world's highest and coldest mountains.
PU Tek and H-Dry Upper
The Phantom 8000 HD walking boots feature uses state of the art construction with H-Dry direct lamination and PU Tek Technology to provide optimal waterproof protection. The H-Dry membrane is firmly laminated to the inner side of the upper and there are no seams and no gaps where water can penetrate: rain and cold are blocked on the shoe's outer surface and a large volume of dry air keeps your feet warm and comfortable. The flexseal zip will allow you to have easy access into, and out of the shoes, ensuring that wet feet are prevented. Under the gaiter is a boot constructed using lightweight and supportive Microtech materials and has been laminated. This inner boot is also easily removable and has been lined with micropile Primaloft which sits close to the foot, with a high-density EVA insulation layer alongside a silver PU film to maximise warmth. This inner construction has a fast-lock lacing system for a locked-in, secure fit, and is easy to operate even if you're wearing thick gloves. Finally, a double pull tab provides you with further assistance getting the shoes on and off, and a big velcro closure secures the foot comfortably.
EVA Midsole
A lightweight, comfortable EVA midsole resides through the shoes which ensure your feet remain cushioned and protected. The cushioning also helps to absorb the shock to the feet caused when the foot comes into contact with the ground. This technology helps to protect feel and keep feet feeling fresh for longer. A carbon Tech 3 SL midsole helps to reduce the overall weight by 100g compared to the previous model. The gaiter now had an offset waterproof zip to make the outer boot even easier to get on and off when wearing gloves while Wintherm technology creates a secondary layer of insulation under the gaiter.
Vibram 0 Gravity Lite Outsole
To supply you with grip and traction on varied terrain, the shoes have a Vibram 0 Gravity Lite outsole. The construction is prepared to withstand even the trickiest of conditions, supplying you with a long-lasting reliable sole for the hard hikes. A hybrid rubber protects your feet and your shoes to optimally prevent injuries from occurring. Not only this, but the sole has an insulated EVA construction to help reduce heat loss and therefore keep feet comfortable and warm.
