Scott Kinabalu 3 GORE-TEX Trail Running Shoes

The third generation of Scott's iconic trail running shoe, the Kinabalu has a full redesign to ensure improved comfort, protection and running efficiency when on the trail. With a GORE-TEX membrane, feet will stay dry no matter the conditions.

GORE-TEX Upper

Made using a mesh and TPU combined upper, the Kinabalu 3 GORE-TEX shoes provide feet with an optimised level of cool, fresh, comfort. The lightweight mesh materials supply feet with constant airflow to ensure that even during the more intense periods of your trail running adventures feet won't overheat. TPU overlays are highly durable and provide excellent protection, preventing shoes from becoming affected by knocks, bumps and scrapes when trail running. Also, a TPU support cage keeps your foot secure and stable on the trails, preventing your ankles from rolling on differing terrain. Feet stay dry in poor weather with waterproof, windproof and breathable protection from the GORE-TEX Invisible Fit membrane, which also wicks moisture and sweat to prevent an uncomfortable build-up of both. The trail running shoes have a protective toe guard to shield feet from knocks and bumps whilst protecting toes from injury. Finally, a traditional lace closure provides feet with a locked-in, secure fit, preventing in-shoe slipping.

Dual-Density Kinetic Foam Midsole

The Kinabalu 3 GORE-TEX trail shoes utilise Scott's Kinetic Foam midsole, an extremely lightweight, yet highly responsive foam, for an ultra-comfortable wearing experience. The foam has excellent energy return, it returns 14% more energy than a standard EVA, providing a plush yet stable and more dynamic ride. This dual-density foam offers feet more energy so you can run faster for longer. Not only this, but the midsole helps to reduce injuries and discomfort that can occur from striking down on hard and unforgiving surfaces, allowing you to focus on the trail ahead. The shoes are equipped with Evolved Rocker2 technology, which promotes a more dynamic running position, reducing heel strike impact and increasing efficiency. This technology allows your foot to roll forward during striking due to the rocking system, creating a rocking chair effect for feet to stride more naturally.

Versatile Traction Outsole

Using a redesigned lug pattern and a durable rubber compound, the Kinabalu 3s utilises a Versatile Traction Outsole. This provides exemplary traction and grip on changing terrains across the trail. Thanks to the deep, grippy lugs, the outsoles bite down onto different rocks, roots and trail debris, optimising ground contact and enhancing traction. The outsole is great for all types of terrain, even wet and muddy surfaces, for a stable, secure base with optimum support and great control.
