ASICS Superblast 2 LCB Women's Running Shoes

Move from feeling standard to super in the Superblast 2. It's designed to help provide the most responsive, energised feel compared to other shoes in the ASICS cushioning range.​ Designed by ASICS athlete Lucy Charles-Barclay the shoes are re-imagined in the spirit of the triathlete's nickname, The Mermaid.​

Engineered Mesh Upper

Providing you with enhanced levels of breathability and comfort, the ASICS Superblast have an engineered mesh upper. The material will allow a steady flow of air in and out of the shoes, which will provide constant breathability and ventilation, and help regulate temperature to keep you going for longer in comfort. The gusseted tongue with wing fit system improves the midfoot fit and reduces tongue sliding while the heel pull tab assists in putting the shoes on and off. The upper also features a lacing system with 'Never Give Up' imprinted, to reflect her resilient spirit, whilst also working to lock the foot for a secure fit and feel. The Superblast 2 features reflective details to enhance visibility in low-light conditions. In collaboration with Ironman athlete Lucy Charles-Barclay, the shoes feature iridescent fish scale stripes and a pearly midsole, reflecting her nickname "The Mermaid" and adding a stylish flair to your running wardrobe.

FF TURBO Plus and FF Blast Plus Midsole

Extremely lightweight and responsive, the Superblast 2 utilises a two-piece midsole for exceptional cushioning and energy return. The first layer features the innovative FF Turbo+ cushioning which helps to generate an exceptional underfoot response, to help you go and feel a lot faster. Upon every step, the midsole compresses before quickly snapping back to its original shape to give you an explosive response. The midsole will also provide cushioning to take weight off the joints like the knees and ankles. The second layer comprises FF BLAST+ which provides lightweight impact absorption and a responsive rebound for optimal energy return so you're able to push further for longer whilst reducing the chance of injury.

ASICSGRIP Outsole

Outstanding grip and traction are guaranteed with the ASICSGRIP outsole. Keeping you anchored to the ground beneath you will improve efficiency, making sure that every second counts. The rubber can form a solid grip on surfaces beneath you for complete control in all conditions. Additionally, the rubber is extremely tough and abrasion-resistant, which means that it will maintain its shape and definition over a long period. The design of the outsole will also provide further traction, as it will dig in to provide further control. An AHARPLUS heel plug enhances the durability of the outsole while the trampoline-inspired outsole design provides a more responsive bounce-back.
