adidas Terrex Two Parley Trail Running Shoes
Help protect the wild places. These shoes have a foot-hugging knit upper made with yarn spun from plastic that's reclaimed before it reaches the ocean. Designed for running light trails, they have a wide fit and lightweight cushioning for comfort. The rocker shape gives you a smooth ride.
Knitted Upper
Knit uppers will envelop your feet in sock-like, breathable comfort. The knit acts as a lightweight second skin, providing a supportive and comfortable fit. Its perforated construction allows air to fully permeate the entire upper, letting your feet breathe when the temperature starts to rise or your training session heats up. The knit is also superbly stretchy which allows the upper to wrap the foot like a sock which will offer a snug and supportive feel across the foot. A textile lining has also been used on the upper to increase comfort, the lining sits comfortably against the skin and reduces the risks of chafing and irritation from ruining your run. Completing the upper is a lace closure system which secures the midfoot so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.
EVA Midsole
A full-length platform of EVA resides underfoot for lightweight, responsive cushioning. Generous, soft and durable, it spares your joints as you strike down onto hard, unforgiving surfaces. Exceptionally lightweight, the EVA ensures long-lasting cushioning to keep you comfortable on long distance days. EVA is extremely firm, which will absorb shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole of the foot. Energy produced from this will also be returned as rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step. The midsole ensures you're ready for the unpredictable trails and tough terrain. The removable insole increases underfoot cushioning so you can go further for longer in complete comfort.
Continetnal Rubber Outsole
Developed using a continental rubber outsole, theTerrex Two Parley Trail Running Shoes ensure extraordinary traction in wet and dry conditions. Inspired by tyre technology, Continental rubber supplies traction on wet and dry surfaces, giving you no excuse not to run. The outsole is designed to be just as durable as the midsole, leaving you with a resilient, cushioned and grippy running shoe. Thick lugs adorn the outsole to provide aggressive, multi-directional grip across every ground; so you don't have to look down as you tackle awkward ascents and daring descents. Cut-outs reduce weight while enhancing flexibility.
Shoe Review
The award for the best-looking trail running shoe of 2020 goes to Adidas, for this unique and striking design. And the plaudits don't just end there. This is one of the best performing trail shoes of the year and comes highly recommended. Comfort and cushioning once again take centre stage, but the all-round qualities of this particular model make it very hard to beat. The sock-like design wraps around your feet to provide a secure and snug fit, with a cushioned pillow that sits behind the heel which adds further comfort during exercise. Full marks to Adidas for creating a flexible upper which is made from up-cycled plastic waste. Not only do the knitted uppers look good, but they feel great and help to increase flexibility, and breathability. They offer adequate support but like most other shoes in this review, I would prefer even more lateral support, especially for extreme and rugged terrain.
A Continental rubber outsole provides the grip and having tested this on various off-road surfaces in both wet and dry conditions I was impressed with the level of performance. The deep Boost midsole ensures that your feet are well cushioned, delivering plenty of energy return, particularly on longer trail runs. In terms of sizing, I would say they are just about true to fit, but if anything, they are slightly large in length. This shoe allows for a wide fit and also has a wide toe-box. Overall, I can confidently say that Adidas have succeeded in creating a well-built, durable shoe that not only looks fantastic but is fully fit for purpose.
