Mesh and Synthetic Upper
Mesh and synthetic uppers encase each foot in durable comfort. Perforations in the fabric increase airflow, promoting a healthier environment for your feet to thrive. Synthetic overlays reinforce the shoe's protective, hiking-worthy state; increasing rigidity and defending your feet against roots, rocks and general hazards. To avoid damp feet, and therefore dampened spirits, a GORE-TEX membrane resides inside the shoe; supplying a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. Sometimes it's hard to stay dry without developing that distracting clammy feeling, but GORE-TEX keeps water on the outside while letting perspiration escape from the inside; keeping sweat to a minimum and you, cool and comfy. A traditional lace closure system easily secures the shoes to a comfortable fit. A padded, gusseted tongue prevents water and debris from entering the shoe whilst a high ankle collar will reduce the risk of irritation and improve comfort in vulnerable areas of the feet.
Made with a series of recycled materials, this upper features at least 50% recycled content. This product represents just one of adidas' solutions to help end plastic waste.
Lightweight EVA Midsole
The construction of the EVA midsole within the Terrex Eastrail GORE-TEX Walking Shoes is extremely lightweight, and despite being lightweight, it won't compromise any cushioning or comfort. The midsole resides underfoot for lightweight, responsive cushioning. Generous, soft and durable, it spares your joints as you strike down on hard, unforgiving surfaces. Exceptionally lightweight, the EVA ensures long-lasting cushioning to keep you comfortable on long-distance days. EVA is extremely firm and absorbs shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole. The energy produced will also be returned as a rebound giving you an added spring in your step. The midsole ensures you're ready for the unpredictable trails and tough terrain. A moulded sock liner sits comfortably against the skin providing additional underfoot comfort.
Durable Rubber Outsole
The high-traction rubber outsole will guarantee that you are guaranteed exceptional grip and control in any conditions. Able to form a solid grip with a wide range of different surfaces, the material will ensure that you are always in full control. Even in wet conditions, the rubber forms a strong connection, anchoring you in place for stability. The shoes use Traxion lugs and hold you in place, especially on wet and muddy ground. This will assist with takeoffs, landings and direction changes, as they dig deep into the ground below. Extremely durable and abrasion-resistant, the rubber will stand up against abuse from hard rockfaces, retaining its shape and definition to provide you with long-term functionality.
