Synthetic and Textile Upper
Offering a comfortable layer of protection, the Adizero Evo SL has been designed using a synthetic and textile upper. The fabrication ensures that the shoes have a sock-like fit, providing your feet with an exceptional flow of air to keep feet cool while also ensuring feet are comfortable and encased. The shoes provide you with a flexible feel with support in key areas, and perforations to provide a constant supply of fresh air for your feet to thrive. A textile lining has also been used on the upper to increase comfort, the lining sits comfortably against the skin and reduces the risks of chafing and irritation from ruining your run. A padded collar sits closely to the foot to further enhance comfort while the flat-laying tongue reduces the chance of irritation caused by rubbing and chafing. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system that locks the midfoot for a secure fit.
Lightstrike Pro Midsole
adidas' signature Lightstrike Pro technology has been embedded into the Adizero Evo SL. The Lightstrike Pro foam compound provides endless energy return from heel strike to toe-off. It features hundreds of visible energy capsules that store and unleash endless energy every time your foot hits the ground, meaning that every step is charged. When your heel hits the floor, the midsole compresses and stores kinetic energy; as you transition through to mid-stance, the midsole relaxes and releases the stored energy, which propels you forward with an explosive take-off. The midsole also spares your joints as you strike down on hard, unforgiving surfaces and propels you forward to provide you with explosive movement and enduring speed. The light and springy ride supports your feet through the gait cycle whilst remaining as lightweight as possible to ensure you can reach new PBs.
Durable Rubber Outsole
Manufactured from durable rubber, the outsole completes the Adizero Evo SL with a superior grip and a smooth transition through the gait cycle. The outsole features Continental rubber on the forefoot and clear rubber on the heel to supply optimal traction on wet and dry surfaces, giving you no excuse not to get out and run. Finally, the outsole is designed to be just as durable as the Lightstrike midsole, leaving you with a resilient, cushioned and grippy running shoe.
