Hand Tailored Mesh Upper

Surrounding the upper of the shoe, the mesh is hand-tailored, designed to give you the perfect fit. Air is able to enter and exit out of the shoes freely, which will mean that as soon as you start your activity, the air will immediately enter and exit. This constant process will provide exceptional breathability to keep you feeling comfortable over a long period of time. The mesh is also reinforced, which will improve the durability of the shoe, protecting it from damage when excessive force is placed on it. When exposed to moisture, the surface of the shoes will wick it away instantly, working to prevent it from penetrating through the material and causing the foot to be exposed to it. The material will also dry off extremely quickly, returning it to its original weight, ensuring that nothing will hold you back. If water does find its way into the shoe, an updated drainage system will encourage all of the moisture to exit out of it extremely efficiently and effectively. Altra's FootShape toe box encourages the toes to relax and spread naturally, whilst allowing the big toe to remain in a straight position. The FootShape toe box enhances stability during uphill climbs and downhill descents when out on challenging trails whilst creating powerful toe-offs to maximise performance. The traditional lace closure secures the midfoot for a locked-in feel that reduces in-shoe slippage, whilst Gaitertrap, a hook and loop tab developed by Altra, will allow strapless gaiter attachments that prevent dirt and debris build-up underneath the shoe.

Altra Ego Midsole

Engineered with an Altra Ego Midsole the King MT 2 delivers a dual-natured compound that is both responsive yet offers a soft, cushioned feel. The midsole delivers an increased energy return whilst offering cushioned comfort. A fully cushioned zero drop platform places your forefoot and heel the same distance from the ground; the zero drop encourages a natural foot position and low impact landing protecting the joints and reducing fatigue. Completing the midsole is a removable stone guard. The updated stone guard is inspired by real human feet for lighter weight without compromising protection. The skeletal structure follows the anatomy of the foot for protection in key areas and eliminating any unnecessary weight.

Vibram Megagrip Outsole

With a Vibram Megagrip outsole will guarantee that you will always be fulling in control, no matter what the terrain is. The high-performance rubber offers durable traction and grip, rugged longevity, and optimal ground adaptability so you are ready for anything the trail throws your way. The DuraTread rubber outsole offers durable, long-lasting grip on both tame and technical terrain allowing you to navigate with confidence every time. Additionally, for further control and stability, the outsole uses Trailclaw which will assist with acceleration. This is because strategically positioned lugs sit beneath the metatarsals, helping you to kick on in muddy conditions. Elsewhere on the outsole, the 6mm lugs will provide stability by anchoring the feet in wet ground. This will also mean that you will have a solid base to push off from, as well as assisting with braking and changes of direction.
