Altra Lone Peak All WTHR Low Trail Running Shoes
The Lone Peak ALL WTHR Low is up for the elements - all the elements. Surrounding a weather-resistant eVent™ bootie construction is everything you love about the classic Lone Peak plus the new addition of the responsive Altra EGO™ midsole. The MaxTrac™ outsole keeps you conquering rough terrain so you can enjoy high speeds with dry feet.
eVent Upper
The critical difference between our technology and traditional waterproof/breathable fabrics is the billions of microscopic pores built into the proprietary membrane that work instantly to vent water vapour (sweat) that builds up inside your apparel and footwear when you perform. Altra call this Direct Venting™ technology, and unlike other technologies, it doesn't need to get wet to work. It's a 'dry system' that allows eVent fabrics to be fully waterproof and fully breathable - keeping you dry and comfortable in the widest range of temperatures and conditions
Altra EGO Midsole
The biggest update in the Lone Peak All WTHR Low is the introduction of the EGO in the midsole. While maintaining the same stack height of 25mm, Altra have been able to increase the cushioning and durability of the midsole. The midsole contains many areas with features that provide the shoe with extremely responsive rebound and cushioning, as well as the standard EVA that also protects and rebounds. The cushioning sits directly underneath the foot, which reduces ground impact, returning the energy as a spring for each step that you take. The feet sit on the midsole on a zero-drop platform. This means the heel and the forefoot are the same distance from the ground, encouraging proper low-impact form throughout your trail run.
Maxtrac Outsole
Staying in complete control is crucial on the trails. With the Maxtrac outsole, you can run with confidence. The durable rubber provides the perfect combination of grip and traction, making volatile surfaces incredibly easy to defeat. The Trailclaw lugs underneath are positioned strategically beneath the metatarsals, making toe-offs and sudden bursts count more.
