Altra Lone Peak All-Weather 2 Trail Running Shoes
A favourite trail running shoe with Balanced Cushioning and foot-shaped toebox, the Lone Peak All-Weather 2 features a waterproof upper construction to keep you dry when you're on the trail, no matter the weather.
Water-Resistant Upper
To supply your feet with a reliable and dry experience on the trails, the Lone Peak All-Weather 2 Trail Shoes have a water-resistant bootie construction. This design prevents feet from becoming wet and uncomfortable when running in varied conditions. Not only this, but the shoes have great moisture-wicking properties, to further ensure your feet remain dry and comfortable when wearing the shoes. This works by effectively removing the sweat and moisture from the inside, keeping you comfortable and feeling confident from start to finish. This updated version of the All-Weather has a more streamlined construction, with a lighter feel, however, Altra has kept the original Footshape design to ensure toes can splay comfortably for a more natural running experience and a spacious fit. A TPU Kick Plate is also added in the uppers to enhance your protection in the forefoot. Finally, to provide a secure, locked-in fit, the shoes have a traditional lace-up closure, therefore helping to prevent in-shoe slippage.
Altra EGO Midsole
The Lone Peak All-Weather 2 has an Altra EGO midsole compound, which helps to provide a high level of energy return, as well as, high levels of durability and responsiveness. This construction sits directly under the foot, to help keep your feet comfortable and assists in preventing the risks of injury by cushioning impact during each stride. Providing a more natural, foot-shaped zero millimetre heel-to-toe drop the shoes utilise a Natural Ride System, meaning natural foot movement is encouraged. This also means the heel and the forefoot are the same distance from the ground, encouraging proper low-impact form throughout your trail run.
MaxTrac Outsole
Staying in complete control is crucial on the trails. With the Maxtrac outsole, you can run with confidence. The durable rubber provides the perfect combination of grip and traction, making volatile surfaces incredibly easy to defeat. The outsoles also feature multi-direction Trail Claw lugs which are positioned strategically under the foot, making toe-offs and sudden bursts count more, and providing you with premium grip and stability on varied trails. Not only this, but the outsole has a metatarsal-specific shape in the outsole to assist in proper foot mechanics and further allow your foot to move naturally.
