Engineered Mesh Upper
Utilising a layered mesh upper construction, the Rivera 3 Running Shoes keep your feet cool and comfortable, by allowing constant airflow. The materials are also moisture-wicking, meaning sweat and moisture will be efficiently wicked from your feet, and dispersed through the construction of the material, enhancing in-shoe comfort and keeping your feet dry. This lightweight, low-bulk upper keeps you light and comfortable on your feet, for undistracted performance. The shoes utilise Altra's Slim FootShape Fit technology to allow your toes to relax and spread out naturally for more comfort and stability in uphill climbs and downhill descents. Keeping your feet feeling fresh, the shoes have a breathable tongue that sits flat against your foot and a moulded heel collar helping to prevent irritation and keep your foot secure within the shoes. Completing the uppers, the shoes have a traditional lace-up system that works alongside this to keep your foot securely placed within the shoes.
Altra EGO Midsole
The midsole unit uses the tried-and-true Altra EGO a dual-nature midsole compound with a responsive, yet soft feel for increased energy return. The cushioning reduces the impact placed on joints, lessening the potential risk of injury. The shoes also feature Innerflex, grid-like grooves present through the midsole, which allow your foot to flex for more speed and better performance throughout your run. The Rivera 3 utilises a Balanced Cushioning platform, that positions your heel and forefoot an equal distance to the ground, to promote better alignment, improved form and a low-impact landing.
FootPod Outsole
The Rivera 3 features an outsole technology that maps the bones and tendons of your foot to help it bend and move naturally. Furthermore, the outsole offers stabilipod technology that acts as a stabilising tripod by enhancing the three natural stability zones in your foot to help prevent excessive foot collapse or pronation. Lastly, the outsole offers a rubber compound that enhances durability and traction, perfect for getting the best performance when road running.
