Altra King MT 1.5 Trail Running Shoes
The Altra King MT 1.5 features a new upper with reinforced mesh and enhanced drainage features at the toes and medial midfoot. The FootLock strap has been moved medially and lower down the arch for increased comfort. The grippy Vibram outsole offers optimal grip and traction while the Altra Ego midsole adds cushioning.
Breathable Mesh Upper
The primary function of the upper is to promote efficient moisture management properties by effectively wicking away the inevitable build-up of sweat and moisture, transporting it from your skin where it is evaporated to leave your feet feeling cool, dry and comfortable as you strive for the best results and performance. In addition, cool air is encouraged to circulate, creating a drier, healthier environment for your feet to thrive in. As well as keeping you free from sweat and moisture, the upper is abrasion-resistant, meaning the shoe becoming durable and stable for further protection and comfort.
Ripstop nylon is also used in the upper to enhance drainage as well as durability, giving a more sturdy, resilient shoe to tackle the trails. The nylon also improves mobility by offering a full, unrestricted range of motion and increased toe splay for further comfort. The FootShape toe box adds durability and protection by guarding against abrasion, debris and sharp objects you may typically encounter when trail running. Soft neoprene is located at the heel for a more comfortable, supportive feel. When fastening the shoe, a traditional lacing system has been employed for a secure, locked-in feel. Further reinforcement is provided by the FootLock strap, to add extra security and stability so you can push yourself to the limit without feeling like your shoe is going to become too slack.
