Asics Gel-Cumulus 21 GS Junior Running Shoes
GEL-Cumulus offers premium technology and a refined design that offers optimal support and comfort for runners of all levels. A EVA midsole teams up with rearfoot and forefoot GEL cushioning for a smooth, lightweight ride that maintains full contact with the ground. It's jacquard mesh upper elevates the styling and forms to your foot for a fit that feels customised just for you.
Mesh Upper
An updated upper makes the most of new technologies that have been developed by ASICS. The breathable mesh upper encases each foot in breathable comfort, allowing air to fully permeate the entire construction. This additionally provides a constant supply of fresh, cool air while simultaneously forcing out hot, muggy air. In addition, the mesh provides a glove-like fit that contours the shape of the foot to increase comfort and performance. Thicker material coverage over the toes and around the heel ensure that vulnerable areas of the shoes are well protected from scrapes and heavy impacts. Within the shoe, there is an Ortholite sockliner that also moulds to the foot shape, making the comfort personalised. The sockliner works hard to wick excess moisture and transfer it to the outer layer of the fabric where it can be easily evaporated, ensuring you stay cool, dry and comfortable. An internal TPR heel counter wraps around the heel of the foot, securing the heel in place to reduce in shoe slippage.
EVA Midsole
Asics have used an EVA midsole, maximising comfort so that you always feel light on your feet. The midsole boasts rearfoot and forefoot gel cushioning that works endlessly to absorb shock and impact forces that run through the body with every step.
AHAR Outsole
Supreme grip and traction are guaranteed with the AHAR outsole. ASICS' high abrasion rubber is a tough rubber compound used at the heavy-contact or high wear areas which helps to cut down on excessive wear. As well as this it can create a strong bond with any ground beneath it, helping you stay in full control. Over the heel, there is an AHAR plug technology where the material is thicker and ultimately tougher, which is a particularly vulnerable area as it is the first ground contact point. A guidance line runs the length of the outsole means that energy is dispersed evenly when stretched, increasing stability.
