ASICS Gel-Pulse 12 Running Shoes

Engineered Mesh Upper

Engineered mesh uppers will encase each foot in breathable comfort. Its perforated construction allows air to fully permeate the entire upper, letting your feet breathe when the temperature starts to rise or your training session heats up. The increase in ventilation provides a perfect microclimate for your feet to thrive in. Overlay reinforcements swathe the midfoot and forefoot to improve stability; they unite with the lacing system to promote complete lockdown, anchoring you to the midsole and reducing in-shoe slippage so that you can enjoy smooth, distraction-free strides.

Amplifoam Midsole

The Midsole of the Gel-Pulse 12 contains ASICS' groundbreaking AmpliFoam technology. Designed to work with all 33 joints in the foot, this technology provides soft cushioning constructed a lower density, which protects it from breaking down. The Amplifoam unit which is engineered to maintain durability at softer densities, providing better flexibility, comfort and platform adaptability ideal for natural running. Lightweight and resilient, Amplifoam spares your joints as you strike down onto hard, unforgiving surfaces. Further embedded within this platform is the Rearfoot GEL Cushioning System. This technology works to reduce shock during the impact phase, sparing your joints as you sprint down onto hard, unforgiving terrain and allowing for a peaceful transition to mid-stance. Guidance line technology also exists within the midsole to increase gait efficiency. The vertical flex groove which decouples the tooling along the line of progression to provide a smooth transition through the gaitcycle. Completing the midsole is an ortholite sockliner which increases underfoot comfort and provides effective moisture management.

AHAR Plus Outsole

Supreme grip and traction are guaranteed with the AHAR outsole. ASICS' high abrasion rubber is a tough rubber compound used at the heavy-contact or high wear areas which helps to cut down on excessive wear. The high abrasion outsole provides a strong grip and works to protect itself from damage, and protect users from losing control and slipping. Strategically positioned in critical areas of the outsole, this exceptionally durable compound is 50% more durable than standard ASICS High Abrasion Rubber to ensure complete protection and durability. Creating a strong bond with the ground beneath it, the outsole allows you to stay in full control at all times. Flex grooves also adorn the outsole to provide added traction underfoot, the grooves allow for natural foot flexion for easy, unhindered paces.
