Engineered Mesh Upper

Featuring a Engineered Mesh, the upper of the ASICS Metaracer Tokyo Running Shoes is designed to increases forefoot support and comfort. Lightweight and highly breathable for all-temperature comfort, the mesh acts as a lightweight second skin, providing a supportive and comfortable fit. Its perforated construction allows air to fully permeate the entire upper, letting your feet breathe when the temperature starts to rise or your training session heats up. The increase in ventilation provides a perfect microclimate for your feet to thrive in. As well as this, the upper has also been treated with a hydrophobic membrane which prevents the upper from absorbing too much water; this maintains the shoes lightweight feel and superior breathability. Drainage ports also exist to release any water that may get into the shoe so you'll always remain comfortable and dry. Completing the upper is a lacing system which locks down the midfoot so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.

FlyteFoam Midsole

FlyteFoam is the lightest cushioning material ASICS has ever made, 55% lighter than the industry standard, EVA and it buffers against the ground to protect you from unnecessary stress and fatigue. Its reinforced, organic fibres let the material bounce back to its original shape after every run, so you can train harder, more frequently, for longer without the worry your shoes might not be able to take it. As well as this, the midsole also features a carbon plate and and guidesole technology which work together to ensure fluid movements as you run. The bottom loaded curved carbon plate runs from the midfoot forward to provide the guide sole experience in the lightest package. Gudiesole technology works to increase running efficiency and reduce ankle flexion. The reduction in ankle flexion allows other muscle in the leg such as the calf to increase in efficiency so they can work less and achieve more. These two technologies work in tandem to provide an efficient rolling ride to increases overall efficiency.

Supreme grip and traction are guaranteed with the ASICSGRIP outsole. This high propriety rubber outsole provides supreme grip on various terrain, without compromising on durability.
