Breathable Mesh Upper

Constructed using a Breathable Mesh Upper, the ASICS Gel-Contend 6 Running Shoes feature a breathable mesh upper which encases each foot in breathable comfort. The mesh allows air to fully permeate the entire upper, providing a constant supply of fresh, cool air while simultaneously forcing out hot, muggy air. This aids moisture management by wicking sweat and excess moisture as it's produced then transfers it to the outer layers where it can be easily evaporated, keeping your feet cool, dry and comfortable at all times. The mesh upper creates a perfect microclimate for your feet to thrive in. Working to provide increased support is the internal heel counter and overlays which work together to ensure a secure and supportive fit. The internal heel counter locks in the heel to ensure a tight foothold as you run. Whilst the overlays work with the lacing system to lock down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage so you can go further for longer in complete comfort. Completing the upper is a soft heel collar which sits comfortably agaisnt the skin to reduce the risks of chafing and irritation.

Amplifoam Midsole

The midsole of the ASICS Gel-Contend 6 Running Shoes features the comfortable, flexible and durable Amplifoam technology. This midsole compound uses classic EVA and a 45-degree density to ensure comfortable cushioning, enhanced durability and more flexibility. The midsole material is engineered to maintain durability at softer densities, providing better flexibility, comfort, and platform adaptability ideal for natural running. Lightweight and resilient, AmpliFoam spares your joints as you strike down onto hard, unforgiving surfaces. As well as this, ASICS' signature GEL Cushioning System has been placed in the rearfoot of the ASICS Gel-Contend 6 Running Shoes to supply bounce back and shock absorption; sparing your joints as you volley and lob, and leap and land on unforgiving surfaces, allowing for smooth transitions and movement in multiple planes. Completing the midsole is an ortholite sock liner which provides added underfoot cushioning as well as enhanced breathability. The sock liner allows cool air to flow throughout the midsole to ensure your feet remain fresher for longer.

Durable Rubber Outsole

Developed using a durable rubber outsole, the ASICS Gel-Contend 6 Running Shoes ensures improved grip in varied conditions. The rubber outsole is able to form a solid bond with the ground beneath it to ensure traction and grip on road surfaces. Having the durability and traction enables you to run with complete confidence that your shoes will keep you grounded at all times. As well as this, the rubber outsole is highly durable to ensure long-lasting wear. Completing the outsole are flex grooves which assist with grip and form a solid base to push from.
