Jacquard Mesh Upper
The Gel-Nimbus 21 Platinum utilises a jacquard mesh upper which will encase each foot in breathable comfort. The perforations in the fabric increase airflow to create a better, healthier environment for your feet to thrive. The mesh construction provides you with super-soft, moisture-wicking comfort next to your skin, preventing irritation whilst simultaneously encouraging a cool and comfortable in-shoe experience. Flytefoam Midsole
A moulded EVA sockliner cradles the foot with breathable, moisture-wicking ease. This prevents the distracting clammy feeling and helps keep you cool and motivated on longer-distance days. Built into the heel and forefoot is the GEL-cushioning system, adding to the bouncy nature of the midsole. An SpEVA Foam insole resides underfoot to improve bounce-back characteristics and decrease midsole breakdown; the added cushion produces a soft feel and improved comfort for an even, uninterrupted ride. Working to reduce the shock during the impact phase, the Nimbus 21 spares your joints as you land on unforgiving surfaces allowing for a smooth transition to your mid-stance. Flytefoam is the lightest cushioning material ASICS has ever made, 55% lighter than the industry standard midsole compounds and it buffers against the ground to protect you from unnecessary stress and fatigue. Flytefoam Lyte sits as a bottom layer cushioning to provide lightweight shock absorption while Flytefoam propel is situated just above it for excellent rebound and snap back properties.
