ASICS Gel-Venture 9 Trail Running Shoes
The Gel-Venture 9 shoe is designed for the great outdoors. The midsole has been modified with AMPLIFOAM cushioning and a higher stack height. When combined with the rearfoot GEL technology, these features help create a softer and more comfortable feel underfoot. Meanwhile, the outsole features an advanced traction pattern that's functional for road and trail surfaces.
Breathable Mesh Upper
Mesh uppers encase each foot in durable, breathable comfort. The porous mesh is highly breathable allowing cool air to circulate, removing uncomfortable heat build-up and creating a cool, healthy environment that feet can thrive in. The increases in ventilation allow you to go further for longer in complete comfort whilst reduced overlays add durability and remain lightweight. Overlay reinforcements swathe the midfoot and forefoot to improve stability; they unite with the lacing system to promote complete lockdown, anchoring you to the midsole and reducing in-shoe slippage so that you can enjoy smooth, distraction-free strides.
AMPLIFOAM Midsole
The midsole of the Gel-Venture 9 contains ASICS' groundbreaking AMPLIFOAM technology. Designed to work with all 33 joints in the foot, this technology provides soft cushioning that helps keep you feeling healthy and happy. The AMPLIFOAM unit is engineered to maintain durability at softer densities, providing better flexibility, comfort and platform adaptability, making it ideal for natural running. Lightweight and resilient, AMPLIFOAM spares your joints as you footstrike on unforgiving surfaces. Further embedded within this platform is the rearfoot GEL cushioning system. This technology works to reduce shock during the impact phase, sparing your joints as you sprint down onto hard, uneven terrain and allowing for a peaceful transition to mid-stance. Completing the midsole is an Ortholite sockliner that increases underfoot comfort and provides effective moisture management.
The sockliner is produced with the solution dyeing process that reduces water usage by approximately 33% and carbon emissions by approximately 45% compared to the conventional dyeing technology.
Trail Specific Outsole
Keeping you firmly in control on the trails, the rubber outsole can form a solid connection with a wide range of different surfaces. The rubber is also extremely durable and abrasion-resistant, which will protect itself over a long time, whilst maintaining its high level of performance. As well as this, re-engineered lugs in the outsole offer better traction on off-road surfaces. The aggressive, multidirectional lugs offer unprecedented traction for running up and down hills so nothing can get in the way of you giving your ultimate performance.
