Reinforced Synthetic/Mesh Upper

The Asics GEL-Hockey Typhoon 2 Hockey Shoes are designed with offensive hockey players in mind. The new instalment to the series features an updated vamp construction, which frees up the forefoot to increase the wearer's agility for faster cutting movements and acceleration. The featured PGuard forefoot technology enhances durability and offers impact protection to defend the wearer's feet from common hockey injuries.

California Slip Lasting promotes stability and comfort: the upper is stitched around an EVA board and directly attached to the midsole, which creates a more secure fit. A removable sockliner makes room for a medical orthotic, whilst the anti-gravel tongue eliminates the chance of debris entering your shoe and stopping your flow. Further comfort is added by the Personalised Heel Fit system, which consists of memory foam around the heel collar that moulds to your foot for additional comfort and secures your foot in the shoe at all times.

GEL Midsole

The GEL-Hockey Typhoon 2 features innovative midsole technologies that provide you with support and cushioning whilst you play. Asics have incorporated forefoot and rearfoot GEL units into the shoe to provide superior cushioning and shock absorption, which helps to minimise the strain on your joints during exercise; this in turn makes the shoes extremely comfortable, and enables you to play for longer as a result. Asics' Solyte midsole material has also been incorporated into the shoe's design to provide lightweight, responsive and durable cushioning. The GEL-Hockey Typhoon 2 also features SpEVA 65 lasting, which employs a 65 degree hardness SpEVA lasting material for a firmer, more stable platform feel which adds support and cushioning to the shoe.

Durable, High Traction Outsole

Asics have designed this shoe with an extremely durable, high traction outsole pattern that works well on grass, artificial grass and water turf. The lugs provide exceptional grip to help with quick direction changes and acceleration, to keep you playing at your highest level, even as you tire. The outsole also features Asics Impact Guidance System (I.G.S.) which promotes a neutral running stance throughout the gait cycle to help to minimise your risk of injury and joint strain.
