Asics GT-2000 4 Running Shoes

The latest addition to the acclaimed GT-2000 series is here for Autumn 2016: The Asics GT-2000 4 Structured Cushioning Running Shoe. Rack up the miles in the new lightweight addition to the GT-2000 family. Take aim at your running targets and blow them away with every wear in these supported training shoes. With new features such as softer GEL cushioning in the rearfoot - perfectly placed for overpronators - and the addition of elastic bands in the upper that wrap around your midfoot to provide extra support, the Asics GT-2000 4 running shoes will support you on every step of your run.

Upper

The GT-2000 4 upper is constructed using comfortable and breathable synthetic materials with mesh panels for increased airflow, which helps to keep the feet cool and dry, and creates a more pleasant environment for the wearer. The GT-2000 4 also features new upper technologies. Additional elastic bands have been added to the upper to wrap around your midfoot and provide extra support to the wearer, which results in a more comfortable ride. The Comfordry™ Sockliner provides extra cushioning, and also boasts exceptional moisture wicking qualities, which helps to leave your feet cool and dry, and your shoes at their lightest weight. The sockliner is removable, and as such can easily be washed between uses.

The upper also features a Clutch Counter, which cradles the heel and provides a tighter fit around the heel for extra support. The addition of reflective elements manufactured by the company 3M improve safety when out training in low-light conditions.

Midsole

New for the GT-2000 4 is softer GEL cushioning in the rearfoot, the positioning of which has been researched by Asics in order to provide the best cushioning for overpronators, in the location of most benefit. The GT-2000 4 also features GEL® Cushioning Systems in the forefoot, which absorbs shock whilst maintaining the flexibility required for an efficient gait. The Fluidride® Midsole is also incorporated into the design, and provides the ultimate combination of bounce-back - to give you that extra spring in your step - and cushioning, all at a reduced weight. Consequently, the new GT-2000 4's midsole in extremely comfortable, and offers more shock absorption than any GT-2000 before it.

In addition, the midsole features Asics' I.G.S® Technology, which helps you to run smoother by enhancing the foot's natural gait from heel strike to toe off. Additional guidance is provided by Guidance Line® Midsole Technology, which further improves your gait efficiency. Asics' Guidance Trusstic System® Technology also features to not only enhance your gait efficiency, but also midfoot structural integrity. Further support and stability is added by the inclusion of Asics' Dynamic Duomax® Support System, which has been modified for this shoe to minimise weight and offer increased platform support.

Outsole

AHAR® is strategically placed on the outsole to provide extra durability and traction in high stress areas. AHAR® provides superior traction and durability, as well as added comfort and a better ride, making the GT-2000 4 a highly durable shoe suitable for daily use. The pattern on the outsole provides superior multi-directional traction, so you can rest assured that you will have the optimum grip on your run, no matter what the conditions.
