Jumping further just got easier with the new Long Jump™ Pro Track and Field spike from ASICS.
Designed for elite level jumpers and vaulters, but for any jumper looking for optimal traction on approach and maximum propulsion at take-off. The supportive synthetic leather upper minimizes in-shoe movement for ultimate performance. The two-density Pebax nylon plate is reinforced around the spike sockets to improve energy return at the point of compression.
The Long Jump™ Pro from Asic's is composed of a durable Synthetic Leather Upper which minimizes in-shoe movement for optimal performance. It locks the foot in place for a secure fitting while a Lock Down Strap, located at the forefoot is Velcro strap designed to maintain additional security as you propell through the air. The Long Jump™ Pro is designed for lightweight support during the approach and foot-plant, which will allow you to keep your speed high and your stride long.
Working in unison an ultra light, top-of-the-line Solyte compound delivers a durable and responsive cushioning to the underfoot. It provides enhanced cushioning and support from heel strike through to the toe off phase. That's when the Nylon Pebax Spike Plate with a nine-pin configuration offers increased durability and traction with Optimized flexibility while maximizing durability on all surfaces.
Hold your line around the curve with the 6mm pyramid spikes and Generate huge amounts of power with a rigid forefoot PU plate that's the perfect base for long jumpers.Lastly on the outsole platform, a SharkDuo in the heel is a textured thermoplastic unit for increased grip on various track surfaces.
**You don't want to feel your toe cramped up against the front of the shoe. A spike should feel like it was meant for your foot, a little more snug than a training shoe feels so we would recommend half a size up on normal shoes**
