Made for the middle distance super star - the new COSMORACER™ MD Track and Field spike features an all new spike plate designed specific to this athletes needs. A performance fit is achieved through a combination of lightweight mesh and seamless overlays, offering support for your foot with each step. The full-length Pebax plate is strategically designed for rigidity and power, with a low-profile sole comprised of lightweight Solyte® foam ensures efficiency at high speeds.
The Upper construction of the Asics Cosmoracer MD is formed from a Lightweight mesh that comprises the upper for lightweight breathability. It allows fresh air to permeate the interior, keeping the foot cool and comfortable as you fly down the track. Integrated alongside this feature, Seamless Overlays create a more snug fit for lightweight performance. They help lock the foot in place for a secure fit and feel while acting upon torsion to maintain its shape and form.
The midsole is created with a Solyte® foam, which is a full length midsole material for increased energy return and responsive underfoot cushioning. It helps Improves bounce back characteristics and decreases midsole breakdown. This in turns gives you a cushioned platform to ensure efficiency at high speeds.
The outsole platform is created from a Pebax Spike Plate which uses a decoupled polymer plate in the forefoot for lightweight flexibility and stability. Its is strategically designed for rigidity and power and Contains 4 spike receptacles per shoe for optimal traction and control. Working in unison, SharkDuo in the heel is a textured thermoplastic unit for increased grip on various track surfaces.
**You don't want to feel your toe cramped up against the front of the shoe. A spike should feel like it was meant for your foot, a little more snug than a training shoe feels so we would recommend half a size up on normal shoes**
