Synthetic/Mesh Upper
The Asics Gel-Patriot 9 Running Shoe features a synthetic/mesh upper, which delivers a lightweight and comfortable fit with excellent breathability. The mesh panels allow hot air to leave the shoe, and cold air to penetrate; creating a better, healthier environment for the feet to thrive in. Synthetic overlays and a synthetic toecap feature for support and durability. A removable AmpliFoam sockliner delivers a comfortable, adaptive fit.
AmpliFoam Midsole
The AmpliFoam technology is engineered to maintain durability at softer densities, providing better flexibility, comfort, and platform adaptability ideal for natural running. This new technology still reduces impact forces incredibly and saves the energy created transferring it to the forefoot where it can push off into the next step, allowing a more efficient run.
Durable Outsole
A Trusstic System has been implemented to reduce the weight of the sole unit and link the forefoot and rearfoot; working alongside the Guidance Line to encourage a more consistent and directional gait. An Asics High Abrasion Rubber outsole (AHAR) completes the shoe. AHAR is a lightweight rubber compound that offers brilliant traction; it boasts three times the durability of Asics' standard rubber. AHAR is strategically placed in high-stress areas, increasing the longevity of the shoe and landing with a resilient and grippy ride.
