Asics GT 2000 5 Women's Narrow Running Shoes (2A Width)
Built for the higher mileage runner who craves structured cushioning and support, the GT-2000 features a FluidRide Midsole for exceptional bounce-back and cushioning. An added stitch-down toecap enhances durability and forefoot support whilst the 2A fit provides the ultimate fitting running shoe for narrow feet.
The Asics GT 2000 5 comes in a women's 2A width. The narrow width ensures an optimum fit, no matter the width of your feet the perfect fit is out there for you as the fit of your running shoe is the key to unlocking your ultimate performance. A properly fitting running should feel secure and snug in the heel and midfoot with room around the toes to compensate for swelling - however attempting to accommodate for a narrow foot in regular size widths could lead to injuries, such as blisters and rubbing sores from loose fitting shoes, or pressure points and restricted blood flow from shoes that are too tight. As every foot shape is different, Asics have ensured that everybody is able to find the optimum fitting running shoe so you can give your ultimate performance without any compromises; the Asics GT 2000 5 2A Width provides the perfect fit for a narrow foot.
Mesh uppers will encase each foot in breathable comfort. Perforates in the fabric increase airflow; creating a better, healthier environment for your feet to thrive in. Synthetic overlays offer increased structure to the shoe, which helps to support your feet and provides a smooth, yet secure, feel. An Exoskeletal Clutch Heel Counter creates an improved fit, helping to anchor the foot to the midsole and reduce in-shoe slippage for smooth, distraction-free strides. An Ortholite sockliner provides an extra layer of plush, step-in comfort. This sockliner has also been treated with Antimicrobial technology to reduce the growth of odour-causing bacteria; giving your shoes that fresher-for-longer feel. Reflective elements complete the upper, increasing your visibility to passing vehicles and keeping you safe on those late night road runs.
FluidRide technology, a two layered midsole construction, features for a winning combination of cushioning and bounce-back. The luxurious SpEVA and Solyte material fusion results in comfort, durability and light weight; cushioning the foot from heel to toe throughout the gait cycle and supplying energy packed bounce, reducing superfluous use of muscle power and therefore diminishing fatigue, keeping you driven for longer. Asics contrast their cushioning with the Dynamic Duomax Support System. Implemented on the medial side, it helps to control pronation; enhancing stability and support without sacrificing light weight or comfort. A visible gel has been strategically placed under the heel for maximum shock absorption, so your joints are spared as you strike down onto hard, unforgiving concrete. The Trusstic system has been implemented to offer torsional stability; it does this by suppressing inward twists and encouraging a natural gait. Lastly, an Impact Guidance System has been applied to encourage the foot to perform a more natural heel to toe movement when you run.
An outsole made from Asics High Abrasion Rubber offers exceptional grip and durability, with an abrasion resistance that's three times higher than conventional rubber. Developed based on the concept of contributing to environmental load reduction, the outsole prolongs the life of these shoes to make them extremely durable for long term use. A Guidance Line also features on the outsole. Using a vertical groove, the Guidance Line runs the whole way through the outer sole from heel to toe, keeping the centre of pressure concentrated into these grooves for a sturdy, supportive ride.
