ASICS Gel-Fujitrabuco 7 GORE-TEX Trail Running Shoe
ASICS Gel-Fujitrabuco 7 GORE-TEX trail running shoes for men protect feet and keep them stable, waterproof and wonderfully comfortable on even the most rugged outdoor trails.
GORE-TEX Waterproof Upper
Rugged mesh uppers will encase each foot in durable comfort. Perforations in the fabric increase airflow to create a better, healthier environment for your feet to thrive in. To avoid damp feet, and therefore dampened spirits, a GORE-TEX membrane resides inside the shoe; it supplies a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. Sometimes it's hard to stay dry without developing that distracting clammy feeling, but GORE-TEX keeps water on the outside while letting perspiration escape from the inside, keeping sweat to a minimum and you, cool and comfy. A tongue gaiter repels kick-up dirt and debris, defending against roots, rocks, and other general hazards reinforcing the Gel-Fujitrabuco 7's Trail worthy status.
FlyteFoam Lyte Midsole
FlyteFoam Lyte resides in the midsole; 55% lighter than industry standard then FlyteFoam Lyte is not only super lightweight but the organic "super fibres" bounce back into their original shape with each stride offering adaptive cushioning from the first step to the end of your trail adventure. Highly durable, the FlyteFoam Lyte offers an elite level of cushioning again, designed to be put through the paces. Designed with an EVA insole and SpEVA 45 lasting offers supreme cushioning with improved energy rebound offering energy output absorbed from impact with the ground into the next step - a shoe that gives back what you put it. The 45 density offers high cushioning for stability and comfort so you can rack up the miles without putting your feet at risk of aches and blisters. Sitting beneath the cushioned midsole resides the rearfoot GEL cushioning system designed to absorb shock impact at heel strike for a smoother transition to midstance that protects your joints from trauma. Finished with Duomax Stability, the dual density midsole works to stabilise the foot when entirely on the ground for a stronger, stabilised push-off.

Shoe Review
This is the first time I've ever worn a pair of Asics trail running shoes and in all honesty, I'm very impressed. This shoe is made for ultra and long-distance trail runners, specifically designed to soak up the big miles. At 330g, the Asics Gel-Fujitrabuco 7 is a slightly heavier model than most rival shoes on the market. But it's built for comfort and cushioning and that's exactly what it gives you. The upper cradles your feet, offering maximum protection and support. The mesh around the outside of the shoe stretches all the way to the toe bumper, with a breathable mesh at the front for ventilation.
In terms of sizing, they're a snug fit. I'm usually a 10 and they feel great, although, for the long/ultra runs, I'd probably opt for a 10.5.
This shoe also comes in a Goretex version, which has a waterproof upper and the same breathable mesh as the original design, to allow for ventilation, whilst still keeping out moisture. A gusseted tongue also helps to repel water. They are an ideal purchase for someone new to trail running and/or fans of other Asics shoes.
KEY FEATURES
1. I particularly like the lacing system, which includes a pocket at the top of the tongue to store the laces after they've been tied.
2. The FlyteFoam sole, with multi-directional lugs. It gives plenty of cushioning on hard, rocky surfaces and ample grip on uneven terrain.
