Brooks Cascadia 18 GORE-TEX Women's Trail Running Shoes
Rainy day trail runs? Lace-up the Cascadia 18 GORE-TEX trail running shoes. Breathable GORE-TEX Invisible Fit technology repels water, while soft cushioning and an adaptable stability system enhance comfort as you cruise the trails. Sticky traction helps ensure secure strides so you can enjoy the view instead of looking at your feet.
Breathable Mesh Upper
Providing waterproof protection and a comfortable, breathable wearing experience, the Cascadia 18 GORE-TEX utilise a GORE-TEX Invisible Fit membrane alongside a mesh upper construction. The mesh materials provide feet with a constant supply of airflow, which travels around your feet to keep you feeling cool and fresh during the more active periods of your trail running adventures. The GORE-TEX Invisible Fit membrane shields feet from becoming wet and uncomfortable during poor weather, by preventing water from entering. Moisture-wicking properties prevent a build-up of sweat and moisture, further keeping your feet dry. Overlays feature in high-wearing areas to provide protection against knocks and bumps and a mudguard shields feet against dirt and debris from entering the shoes. A traditional lacing system completes the upper and locks down the midfoot for a secure fit, and to reduce in-shoe slipping from occurring.
DNA Loft v2 Midsole
DNA Loft v2 resides in the midsole of the Cascadia 18 GORE-TEX to offer exceptionally soft and comfortable cushioning. It carries the foot well and moulds itself to the shape of your foot, allowing it to fully support the curvature of the underfoot. The new DNA Loft v2 midsole is a cushioning technology that is soft and comfortable. This cushioning and support helps lessen the impact placed upon your joints as well as attenuates shock, minimising the potential risk of injury or discomfort. A protective and propulsive rock plate also features in the midsole to protect against rocks or debris.
TrailTack Green Rubber Outsole
The outsole of the Cascadia 18 GORE-TEX has been engineered using a Trailtack Green rubber and high surface-area lugs provide outstanding uphill and downhill traction, even on slippery surfaces. The outsole consists of 25% recycled materials for a more eco-conscious choice. The durable, resilient non-skid rubber delivers optimal grip and traction, ideal for technical trails where unpredictable terrain is highly prevalent. Completing the outsole are deep lugs which ensure multi-directional grip.
To achieve CarbonNeutral product certification for this style, Brooks has increased their use of recycled materials to lower carbon emissions, then support carbon offset projects to neutralise the emissions they can't yet eliminate.
