Engineered Double Jacquard Air Mesh Upper
Constructed using an engineered Air Mesh, the upper of the Ghost 16 provides the optimal amount of stretch and structure to accommodate the movements of your foot and increase breathability. Perforations in the fabrication allow cool air to permeate, preventing an intolerable build-up of heat and keeping your feet cool and comfortable. The mesh also actively and efficiently wicks away the build-up of excess sweat and moisture, keeping you dry as you strive for the best results and performance. A padded tongue sits comfortably against the skin to ensure optimum comfort as well as prevent irritation and rubbing while the traditional lacing system provides a secure, locked-in feel as you run. Completing the upper are reflective details on the heel which enhance visibility in low-light conditions.
DNA LOFT v3 Midsole
Engineered using the new DNA LOFT v3 technology, the midsole of the Ghost 16 has more of this super-soft, nitrogen-infused cushioning to maximise softness. The DNA LOFT v3 cushioning carries the footwell and even moulds itself to the shape of the underfoot, allowing the platform to fully support the curvature of the underfoot. Having this cushioning and support helps to lessen the impact placed upon your joints as well as attenuate shock, minimising the potential risk of injury or discomfort. Alongside this, a Segmented Crash Pad adds further cushioning and comfort by adapting to each footfall for a smooth, responsive ride to give you the confidence to run at your maximum level knowing you have ample cushioning to guide you through the gait cycle with optimal efficiency.
RoadTack Rubber Outsole
Comprising a mix of rubber and recycled silica materials, the Brooks Ghost 16 utilises a RoadTack rubber outsole for optimal grip and traction. The outsole is lighter than previous editions and provides exceptional durability to keep you going for longer. The enhanced grip will allow you to run with total confidence and deliver a firm, assured footing, even in difficult conditions or on slightly uneven terrain. Flex grooves provide a full, unrestricted range of mobility in all directions and exceptional flexibility.
