AquaDry Membrane Upper

The highly technical Salado Walking Boots will keep you in complete comfort and protection no matter what the conditions or terrain is. Surrounding the upper of the boots, Craghoppers have used AquaDry, an innovative and effective technology that will block moisture from entering the boots. A combination of waterproof and a breathable coating with technical outer fabrics delivers guaranteed levels of protection and comfort. The outer face is treated with a Durable Water Repellent finish to help keep the outer fabric drier for longer. Despite this, the material will still allow a constant flow of air in and out. This will mean that warm air that builds up within the boots is able to escape out, where it is then replaced with cooler air from outside. This will work constantly to keep you feeling ventilated over a long period of time. The upper is made from suede and mesh that is treated with NosiLife, a technology which acts as an insect repellent. As well as this, the boots have a Crawler Guard insect cover, which will also prevent insects from entering or coming into contact with you and the boots. Extremely firm and tough in its construction, vulnerable areas of the feet are protected from any bumps or shocks that you might pick up. A ghillie lacing system will make it easy to secure the fit of the boots for a comfortable fit, as well as offering structural support. A padded tongue and ankle collar will remove the risk of irritation being caused by rubbing and chafing.

EVA Midsole

The EVA within the midsole is extremely responsive, providing the foot with protection and cushioning. Shocks from below are immediately absorbed, stopping them from causing the sole of the foot any pain or discomfort. When a downward force is applied to the boots, the top half of the EVA cushions, increasing comfort. Thicker protection covers vulnerable spots like the heel and the forefoot. Within the boot, there is a moulded footbed, which will provide you with a personalised and comfortable direct next-to-skin cushioned feel.

Vibram Outsole

Featuring a Vibram outsole, this provides the boot with supreme grip and traction. Wet conditions are easily negotiated with the ultra-grip provided the strong rubber on the outsole. Abrasion-resistant, the sole stands up to abuse from rough terrain, meaning that it can perform its performance and functions long-term. Deep lugs also dig into surfaces for further control, by anchoring the shoe into the mud.
