Yak Leather
Constructed using a durable yak leather upper, the Ecco Exostrike Walking Shoes offer a wider range of protection to help you gain the maximum from your footwear. The leather upper keeps the feet protected from debris and sharp objects as well as minimising the risks of wear and tear. To avoid damp feet, and therefore dampened spirits, a GORE-TEX membrane resides inside the shoe; supplying a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. Sometimes it's hard to stay dry without developing that distracting clammy feeling, but GORE-TEX keeps water on the outside while letting perspiration escape from the inside; keeping sweat to a minimum and you, cool and comfy. Perforations within the leather increase ventilation ensuring your feet can breathe easy as you power through on hot and humid days. A climbing inspired lace construction allows for a customised fit and a firm foothold from toe to ankle to reduce in shoe slippage so you can enjoy distraction-free strides. Completing the upper is a prosoma TPU heel counter ensures structured support that still allows for plenty of ankle expansion. Promoting a natural fit, the counter promotes optimal movement of the Achilles while still providing ample support. The heel counter helps to stabilize the ankle and reduce excess movement from in the shoe reducing the risks of repetitive injury.
Phorene Midsole
Within the midsole, an ultralight PU phorene composition increases shock absorption and comfort by provides a plush underfoot feel. Sparing your joints as you strike down onto hard, unforgiving surfaces, the midsole ensures you can go further for longer. By inundating shocks, phorene works to protect you when striking down and also disperses the shocks to propel you forward. Phorene also provides ample cushioning to ensure a comfortable hike, the midsole follows the natural contors of the foot provide a dynamic fit and feel. Completing the midsole is a removable insole that not only provides added underfoot cushioning but also works to wick sweat away from the skin. The insole uses moisture management to wick sweat to keep you dry when temperatures begin to rise.
