Evolv Defy Lace Climbing Shoes
The most advanced entry-level climbing shoe on the market, it has a slight camber and a more asymmetric fit than traditional beginners' shoes.
Synthetic Upper
The Defy Lace features a comfortable synthetic upper to keep feet and toes shielded on your next climbing venture. The flexible upper has a soft, flexible upper construction that wraps around your foot for a secure, contained fit, keeping feet comfortable and ready to tackle every climb. The slight stretch will provide you with the perfect fit, but will also help prevent excessive slipping from occurring. Strategic perforations enhance in-shoe breathability by allowing constant, cool air to travel throughout the shoes, and moisture-wicking properties prevent the growth of sweat and moisture from making you uncomfortable by removing it from the surface of your skin. The shoes feature a split tongue opening for ease of entry, whilst the asymmetrical lace closure ensures a secure, locked-in fit. Finally, the soft heel construction ensures that feet remain comfortable and locked-in from start to finish of your climb.
1.6mm Full Length Midsole
The Defy Lave climbing shoes feature a 1.6mm plastic full-length midsole compound, which keeps feet comfortable and provides snappy underfoot sensations. The slightly downturned structure provides you with a foot position that's perfect for climbing. This midsole compound will maintain the shape of the shoes to ensure secure stepping when climbing or boudlering. The Defy Lace's have a PSR rating of 4, meaning these entry-level climbing shoes are versatile for smearing and edging and keeping things sensitive for excellent performance, ensuring you can confidently feel the rocks and surfaces below.
3.5mm TRAX SAS Rubber Outsole
Adorning the outsole of the Defy Lace Climbing Shoes is Evolv's proprietary, 3.5mm TRAX SAS rubber formula. The outsole is super reliable and is known for its excellent balance of stickiness and durability for complete confidence on tough climbs. With some flexibility, the outsole allows feet to move naturally, whilst it has exceptional traction to keep you secure on a wide range of surfaces and climbing compounds.
