Duo Tech Upper
The Velocity 5.5 Spikes' upper is made from a Duo Tech fabric. This lightweight upper is highly breathable, ensuring the foot stays fresh and comfortable. The stretch mesh allows cool air to flow through the shoes whilst releasing built-up heat, keeping you comfortable through training and matches. The upper is supported and stabilised with welded technology; this locks in the foot to reduce movement and protects feet from knocks and scrapes. The shoes have a narrower fit compared to the 5.0, providing a closer fit and reduced movement for youth players. Completing the upper of these spikes is a traditional lacing system that locks in the midfoot, reducing in-shoe movement and leaving you distraction-free.
EVA Midsole
The Velocity 5.5 Spikes feature a Haipoli pro-footbed for cushioning. It spares joints as you strike down on the ground and uses that force to provide rebounds, springing you into your next step. A gel insert under the heel ensures softer landings without sacrificing snappy movements. The midsole is a lightweight EVA compound, which provides excellent cushioning and comfort, reducing fatigue so you can keep playing your best cricket. Completing the midsole is a torsional TPU midfoot support, this allows the forefoot and rearfoot to move independently and easily adapt to the ground beneath.
Blown Rubber Outsole
The outsole provides a shock-absorbing base for added comfort on impact and is ultra-durable for long-lasting use and enjoyment. It is designed to make a solid bond with the ground for excellent grip. Nine strategically placed spikes, 5 on the forefoot and 4 on the heel, expertly extract the most from your game, giving you maximum control, traction and stability.
