Grays Raid 2.0 Junior Hockey Shoes
The Raid 2.0 is a high performance shoe worn at international level by many of the Grays elite athletes. The Raid 2.0 has been designed and developed with performance in mind to give any player the ultimate edge over the competition. The Raid 2.0 is lightweight thanks to the waterproof trail running shoe style upper, allowing players to perform at maximum speed, combined with an outsole grip configuration designed for Hockey.
Ripstop Waterproof Upper
Supplying feet with a comfortable layer of protection, the Raid 2.0 Hockey Shoes utilise a high-performance woven fabric for the uppers. This is also made up of ultra-strong nylon, with reinforcements to resist tearing, ripping and abrasion. Additionally, the shoes have a stitch-free construction, which provides your feet with a smooth, glove-like fit, working to prevent irritation or abrasion, whilst the Diamond Cradle system also provides you with an optimum level of stability. Not only is this upper durable and comfortable, but it also uses a breathable, weatherproof solution for the ultimate level of comfort and protection in varying weather conditions. The forefoot of the shoes has a lightweight, water-repellent, quick-drying membrane, meaning your feet remain dry, comfortable and cosy throughout the game. Finally, the shoes utilise a speed-lacing system which allows your foot to slip in and out with total ease whilst still helping to keep the shoes firmly in place on the move.
EVA Midsole
A dual-density midsole system has been positioned inside the shoe, to enhance support and stability during dynamic movements on the hockey pitch. This compound works alongside the EVA performance midsole, a foam formulation that provides supreme energy return, thanks to the unique elastomer compound, which is engineered for both speed and comfort. A firm EVA55 foam also resides underfoot, to prevent your foot from rolling when making contact with the ground. Additionally, the Torsional Plus Wishbone works to reduce the weight of the sole unit while retaining durability and structure. This stable platform helps to reduce injuries to the knees and ankle. Finally, a 3-layered gel footbed with gel inserts optimises underfoot support and enhances shock absorption, and a full-length 360-degree foam provides you with a soft heel platform.
Aggressive Grip System (AGS) Outsole
Providing you with a great balance of both, geometry on the outsole and a superior rubber compound, the shoes deliver you confidence when competing on a range of surfaces. This means the Aggressive Grip System outsole of the Raid 2.0 offers you long-term durability and stability underfoot. The shoes also have a deep lug pattern, and multi-directional grip, therefore helping to improve traction on all types of pitch surfaces. Not only this but the deep sharp lugs are made from a compound that will balance durability and high-performance grip. This construction will allow you to make sharp unpredictable turns on the pitch with constant stability.
