Haglofs Kummel Proof Eco Walking Boots
The ultimate shoe for both urban and outdoor use. A leather shoe with all the technical details and comfort you need in a trekking shoe but with an urban look. This is a supportive trekking shoe with a wide forefoot fit for extra comfort. Upper protection and AHAR+ rubber on the outsole add to the durability. It's completely fluorocarbon free, down to the waterproof PROOF ECO membrane. A slightly lower mid-cut silhouette still adds stability and protection.
Waterproof Leather Upper
The upper of the Kummel Proof Eco has been constructed using a waterproof membrane to keep your feet as dry and protected as possible. The fluorocarbon-free PROOF ECO membrane prevents water from entering your shoe as you walk across the varying terrain, encountering all kinds of weather in the process. In addition, the leather is also exceptionally durable, and DWR treated surfaces help to further repel water and dirt as you move. A tongue gusset also improves protection by preventing water and sand from entering the shoe, whilst sitting comfortably against the skin to reduce friction and irritation such as chafing. Rounding off the upper is a traditional lacing system, offering a secure, locked-in fit and feel as you move.
SpevaFoam Midsole
A SpevaFoam compound resides in the midsole to provide optimal cushioning and comfort as you walk. The SpevaFoam is highly responsive, ensuring each stride feels more comfortable than the last, courtesy of exceptional bounce-back properties. This is particularly beneficial when walking on difficult, unpredictable terrain as it improves the overall feel without sacrificing performance. Working in conjunction with the SpevaFoam material is a rearfoot GEL cushioning, delivering shock absorption properties to help lessen the burden placed on your knees and joints. This helps to minimise the potential risk of injury and discomfort.
AHAR Plus Outsole
Developed using ASICS' High Abrasion Resistant Plus rubber compounds on the heel area of these shoes, the outsole offers high levels of durability to protect against rough terrain. This material has an abrasion resistance of around three times higher than average rubber, making it ideal for the trails. Additionally, an engineered patterned outsole provides high traction as well as ample stability.
