Waterproof Leather Upper
Ensuring feet remain protected and secure, the Hoka Clifton L GORE-TEX Walking Shoes have a waterproof Leather upper construction. The leather materials have a durable, long-lasting construction to protect both your shoes and your feet, whilst also ensuring your feet remain cosy and locked in. To avoid damp feet, and therefore dampened spirits, a GORE-TEX bootie construction resides inside the shoe; supplying a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. Sometimes it's hard to stay dry without developing that distracting clammy feeling, but GORE-TEX keeps water on the outside while letting perspiration escape from the inside; keeping sweat to a minimum and you, cool and comfy. A coated ripstop also features on the upper which adds further durability. A traditional lace-up system helps to lock the midfoot to prevent excessive movement for a more secure fit inside the shoe, and the heel loop allows you to put the shoes on with ease.
CMEVA Midsole
A Meta-Rocker midsole geometry is specifically designed with a low heel-toe differential and a sculpted outsole in the heel and toe, creating a unique fulcrum effect, like a rocking chair for your foot, encouraging a guided gait cycle. The unique feature is designed to support a walker's natural form whilst encouraging an efficient, smooth roll from initial impact to toe-off. Lightweight cushioned CMEVA fills the midsole volume. This engineered midsole volume is up to 2.5x the volume compared to standard walking shoes, made with a performance-specific, lightweight cushioning material. The maximum cushioning material is designed to provide shock attenuation and superior comfort for reduced fatigue.
High Abrasion Non-Marking Outsole
Completing the Hoka Clifton Walking Shoe is a High Abrasion Non-Marking outsole. The high-performance rubber compound offers unparalleled sticky grip and optimal ground adaptability, allowing you to tackle tricky terrain with ease whether the surface is wet or dry. The durable rubber offers rugged longevity providing unprecedented grip hike after hike, and trail after trail.
